Dear Arnie,

Since returning home from Haiti last week, I’ve felt as though I left a part of my heart there with the courageous survivors and Red Cross volunteers.

I filmed a short video while I was at our headquarters in Croix de Prez to give you a sense of what it’s like on the ground.

Watch it now—and see how your generous donations are making a difference:

Relief is getting through to the survivors but the road to recovery will take years. Here are just a few examples of how donations are helping:

$10

Provides a first aid kit equipped with enough ointment and bandages for a Red Cross responder to treat 15-20 injured earthquake survivors.

$30

Provides one month’s worth of essential hygiene materials for five people, including items like toothbrushes, shampoo, toilet paper and towels.

$100

Will furnish a family of five with a cooking set, hygiene pack, blankets and water containers.

$500

Will provide a tent large enough for a family of five to use as a temporary shelter.

Watch my dispatch from on the ground and see Red Cross relief efforts in action:

The magnitude of devastation I saw in Haiti was incredible. But the thing that struck me most was the people—their resilience and bravery in the face of this tragedy.

They can get through this—thanks to your support.

Thank you,
