The neighborhood of North Park, which includes many sub-neighborhoods such as Burlingame, Altadena, and Morley Field, has grown into one of the most popular and liked communities in San Diego County. North Park features a collective mix of residences from many eras, including Craftsman Bungalows and luxurious Dryden Homes. Following a large renovation in the early 2000s, North Park has enjoyed a new birth of admiration for its exciting and mixed-age architecture. Held monthly in North Park is a art gallery walk to showcase various new or popular artists called Ray at Night. North Park also is home to the Lyric Opera San Diego, which performs is Birch North Pay Theatre, and an annual holiday parade which is a lively celebration that draws residents and other San Diegans alike.
