North Park

The neighborhood of North Park, which includes many sub-neighborhoods such as Burlingame, Altadena, and Morley Field, has grown into one of the most popular and liked communities in San Diego County. North Park features a collective mix of residences from many eras, including Craftsman Bungalows and luxurious Dryden Homes. Following a large renovation in the early 2000s, North Park has enjoyed a new birth of admiration for its exciting and mixed-age architecture. Many even take walking tours to see the many beautiful residences that dot the North Park region.

Right next to North Park lies San Diego’s famous Balboa Park, a large and expansive park that houses numerous museums and the San Diego Zoo, which is one of the most popular zoos in the world. balboa Park also includes Morley Field Sports Complex, Balboa Park Municipal Golf Course, Golden Hills Community Recreation Area, Balboa Stadium, and Naval Medical Center San Diego. As North Park is right up next to Balboa Park, residents enjoy all this park has to offer and a feeling of living in a less city and more residential community with its long green lawns and areas to jog, picnic, or just enjoy the beautiful day.

North Park’s urban scene is very much alive as the Arts, cuisine options, and cultural exploration opportunities abound in this area. North Park is filled with independently-owned cafes, unique restaurants, and a bouncing night life. Alive all throughout the day, the North Park vibe is reminiscent of an eclectic district in Los Angeles or New York. Held monthly in North Park is a art gallery walk to showcase various new or popular artists called Ray at Night. North Park also is home to the Lyric Opera San Diego, which performs is Birch North Pay Theatre, and an annual holiday parade which is a lively celebration that draws residents and other San Diegans alike.
